5 Steps To Success: Identify people that are living your dream, and align yourself with them (Step 4)

 In Personal Growth

Hello my friends, welcome back to the “5 Steps To Success” series!

First of all I want to all, I want to thank so many people here that commented, shared and gave me GREAT feedback on this series. I really appreciate you guys & galls!

My goal is really to share my knowledge with you all. For that reason NEVER hesitate to contact me if you want me to write about a specific topic.

So with that said, let’s begin with
Step 4: Identify people that are living your dream, and align yourself with them

Look for someone who is experiencing success you want, and study what they are doing. Success leaves tracks, and you can follow them step-by-step to find your own success.

There is a story that claims that your income will be the average of your five closest friends. If your income doesn’t let you live the life you desire, perhaps you need to align yourself with wealthier people. By studying what successful people do, you can unearth the secrets to their success. That can help you find your very own success. After that, people will seek you out because you’ve become an expert in your field.

P.S. In the last post there was a comment from Linda, asking what the Hedgehog Principle is, so I will also be doing a post on that! Please let me know any more questions in the comments section below..

Hi Yannick, While you may admire your boss, parents, best friend, teacher, etc, and you may want to emulate many of their good qualities, if, as you point out, are not living the lifestyle you want to live, don’t make the mistake of thinking that they can teach you how to do that.

Bless them for their great attributes and pattern yourself after them in the areas that you want to be like them, but be sure to follow those who can lead you where you want to go for that part.

Thanks for another wonderful bit of knowledge,

This step is very important, but I have to admit can be a little intimidating when you first get started. Everyone tells you that you need to surround yourself with successful people, but how do you do that before you have had any success of your own?

Reading books is great, and does help, but only so much.

Following their blogs. Another great tip, but still in the same ballpark as reading books.

So what do you need to do to get those successful people to notice you? This is where you have to figure out what value you can provide. There is where you have to have more to give than you can receive.

Make sure you are leaving really thoughtful comments on their blogs. Put links to their posts on Facebook and Twitter. Become their biggest promoter. If you give enough, they will notice you.

Great post Yannick. I am looking forward to Step 5!

I would like to start off by stating, thank you for providing me with the information I’ve been looking for. I’ve been searching the internet for two hours searching for it and would have given my right arm if I would have found your website sooner. Not only did I locate what I was looking for, but found answers to questions I never thought to ask myself. Thank you for your wonderful web-site!
